Clarity
We carry spoken complexity into written clarity without dumbing down your message.
About
Sermons are among the most carefully prepared, personally meaningful things a pastor creates. They deserve a form that lasts.
Every week, pastors do something remarkable. They take ancient texts, wrestle with difficult questions, and craft messages designed to shape lives. Hours of study and prayer go into each sermon.
And then Sunday ends. The sermon fades from memory, living on only in a recording few will revisit.
We believe that content deserves a lasting form. A book carries your teaching in ways a recording cannot: to people who will never visit your church, and to years you haven’t reached yet. It becomes a legacy of your ministry. The websites and research lines exist to do the same carrying for the rest of your work.
Nathan holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University, where his research focused on machine learning and multimodal data fusion. He completed postdoctoral fellowships at the ASU-Mayo Clinic Center for Innovative Imaging and Georgia Institute of Technology before serving as Assistant Professor of Data Science at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
He is co-founder of sudo-rndm.ai, an AI and machine learning consulting firm, and serves in leadership with Christians in AI (CHAI), a global community exploring the intersection of faith and artificial intelligence. He serves in prayer ministry at his local church in San Francisco. He’s on LinkedIn and at nathanbgaw.com.
Nathan and Annabella created Pulpit to Pages to help pastors’ sermon content outlive their Sunday message. The content already exists; it just needs a form that lasts. Annabella and Nathan thoroughly enjoy working together as a married couple on their joint ministry venture. They currently reside in San Francisco, California, where they enjoy sand art on the beach, editing at their favorite boba shops, and serving in their local church community.
Annabella is co-founder of Pulpit to Pages and enjoys working directly with our clients to oversee their experience from concept to cover. Her role focuses on editing manuscripts, strategizing book titles, designing the cover art, and producing a publication launch strategy.
Her academic background spans from King’s College London, where she studied publishing and literature, to a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi, to a current pastoral residency through the Bay Area School of Ministry. Professionally, she has served in the nonprofit field since 2019 as a Public Relations Manager, Communications Director, and Executive Director.
Most studios offer one half of this. Nathan brings the machine learning depth: the systems that trace every sentence of a book back to its sermon, and the engineering that makes a ministry findable in the age of AI. Annabella brings the publishing side: she works directly with each client, overseeing the book from concept to cover. Your project gets both.
And a line we keep either way: our editors clarify and polish, they don’t theologize. Your theology enters our work as a fixed point, never as material to improve. We work with pastors from all Christian traditions and never edit toward a doctrinal position.
We carry spoken complexity into written clarity without dumbing down your message.
Your theology is yours. We preserve it with care, never inserting ideas you didn’t preach.
Good enough isn’t good enough. We approach each manuscript, and each page, with the attention a lasting work deserves.
Preaching is a sacred task. We treat your sermons as finished works to be translated for a new medium.
